G-Stars were on all-time high as Nate Mateo fired a total of 14 points in the game, while the rest of the squad contributed a total of 40 baskets that paved the way to a 19-point lead against Kontenders.
Mateo charged up in the second quarter to pull his team away from the damage brought by the whirling offense of G-Stars.
G-Stars practically bombarded Kontenders’ defense with much gusto that was translated into needed points.
Misplaced pass and miscalculated shots led to Kontenders losing the final minutes of the game.
As this developed, G-Stars grabbed the opportunity to slide past the second period, determined to seal the match with series of lay-ups via fastbreaks.
Mateo zoomed down the basket for some two-pointers, amidst heavy resistance from the other team.
