GES 1 wins the co-ed elementary school division title of the PSS-NMIFA Interscholastic Soccer League SY24-25 at the NMI Soccer Training Center on Thursday.
GARAPAN Elementary School 1 edged William S. Reyes Elementary School 1, 1-0, to bag the co-ed elementary school division championship of the PSS-NMIFA Interscholastic Soccer League SY24-25 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Thursday.
Both teams were hungry for the win.
In the first 10 minutes of the opening half, both fought hard to control the possession. After several exchanges, GES 1 started to wear down WSR and were finally rewarded for their efforts at the 11th minute mark as Evan Poole connected a goal for a 1-0 lead.
Although there was still enough time left, neither team could find the back of the net.
In the second half, WRS 1 aimed for redemption.
Ramon Camacho, Darrien Leon Guerrero and Rex Rivera led WSR 1’s offense, but they were thwarted and had to play defense to prevent another GES 1 goal.
WSR 1 fought hard, but had to bow down to GES 1, 0-1.

GES 1’s Evan Poole was named the Most Valuable Player while the Golden Boot Award went to Pritam Roy and Guy Pudney.
WSR 1 finished second overall while Saipan International School settled for third place.
