One resulted to a seven-game sweep and the other snapped a winless streak.
Natibu 17, Berdax 14
BJ Sablan’s grand slam tied the ball game as Natibu rallied from a four-run deficit in the bottom of the third inning and they went all the way to beat Berdax, 17-14.
It was also a painful reply to Berdax’ Ben Taisacan who drove-in three runs with his homer in the first half of the said inning.
Frank Roberts had a solo home run to help Berdax finish its turn with a six-run lead in the third.
Kent Kalen opened the bottom of the third with a single before JR Suel blasted a two-run home run. Sato Manalo doubled before Carl Hocog moved him to scoring base with a walk against Tony Magofna.
Then, Sablan rocketed the four-run home run to tie the game. Dave Kapileo doubled and pushed to the scoring spot on Jonathan Welson’s walk before Victor Salas tripled to turn the game around giving Natibu a four-run lead this time.
After a scoreless fourth whole inning, Berdax tied the game again with Dave Apatang firing a two-run home run in the top of the fifth.
Sablan defeated Magofna to get the first base unchallenged then, Bruce Norita drove him in with a double.
Victor Salas, the last batter in the roster hit an RBI double to recover their lead.
Both teams had their defense tightened and Natibu protected their lead to win the game.
Xterminators 26, Team Familia 13
JJ Cabrera set the lead in the second inning with grand slam and the Advance Xterminators hold on their lead and satisfied their thirst for victory over Team Familia, 26-13.
Kolin Reyes and Jay Camacho cut the lead to one in the bottom of the second inning.
With Rudy Sablan hitting a run-scoring double, the Xterminators were at it again lambasting Team Familia with seven base hits ending the third inning with nine runs.
Dennis Ngiraikelau rocketed a three-run home run in the fifth inning and the Xterminators never looked back.
The Xterminators added three base hits in the seventh inning and buried Team Familia with 13-runs.
Blazers 17, G-Ballers 7
Justin Sablan drove-in three runs with his homer to punish the G-Ballers early in the game leading to the Blazers’ 17-7 victory.
G-Ballers’ Jun Salalila hit a solo home run and Jude Dickinson had an RBI single to narrow the lead in the fourth inning. They also held the Blazers scoreless in the two straight innings although Salalila only had one strike out.
But the Blazers had them pay in the bottom of the fifth inning with George Camacho knocking in a two-run single.
Joe Taitano added a run-scoring single and Ralph Magofna sent a baserunner home with a sacrifice fly in the sixth to secure their win.
