THE runners of Gregorio T. Camacho Middle School and William S. Reyes Middle School notched first-place finishes in the 100m event of the PSS All School Track & Field (Athletics) SY23-24 at the Oleai Sports Complex on Tuesday.
WSR earned four first-place finishes in the U9 age category.
In the U9 boys division, WSR’s Jesus Acosta led heat 1 with a time of 16.00 while Brilliant Star School’s Ellis Fehrenbacker followed behind with 17.39 and Mount Carmel School’s Isaiah Villagomez came in third at 18.07.
Heat 2 was also claimed by WSR thanks to the strong work of Aaron Martino, who clocked 17.07 followed by MCS’ Thomas Flores at 17.09, and WSR’s Zion Pamintuan at 18.24.
GTC’s Collie Togawa topped heat 3 with a time of 18.04 followed by Kagman Elementary School’s John Masiwemai with 18.58, and Saipan Community School’s William Dunn with 19.56.
In heat 4, KAG’s Davirey Indalecio finished first with a time of 14.98 while BSS’ Brayden Brennfleck came in second at 17.89, and SCS’ Cortland Winkfield was third at 20.59.
Girls division
WSR’s fourth podium finish was claimed by Zarina Sumor who led heat 3 in the U9 girls division with a time of 17.55 followed by SCS’ Eleanor Anderson at 19.68, and WSR’s Princess Malig at 20.55.
Heat 1 saw MCS’ Lauricia Tagabuel ahead of the competition with a time of 18.04, BSS’ Jairie Camacho was second at 18.29, and MCS’ Mariam Flores came in third at 19.3.
Heat 2 was claimed by MCS’ Chloe Mostales with a time of 18.23. GTC’s Eliana Deleon Guerrero was second at 18.64, and GTC’s Jennifer Camacho was third at 18.92.
U12 age category
In the boys division of the U12 age category, the top runners were BSS’ Antosha Heras (15.12), GTC’s Vincent Cruz (15.37), WSR’s Mario Reyes Jr (16.26), and KAG’s Blake Guinto (15.90).
In the girls division, Saipan International School’s Windsor Gross (14.71) and Neveah Arriola (15.85) bagged two first-place finishes along with BSS’ LoVel Speath (15.26).
