Guerrero to call in Senior Little League games in World Series

The last time Williams Sport selected an umpire from CNMI was in 1999 when Mario Taitano was picked to call in the Little League Majors games in Pennsylvania.

The first CNMI baseball official who was selected to call in Little League Majors was James Miwata in 1998 also in Pennsylvania.

Guerrero was recommended by the SLLB then, nominated by the regional administration.  

Meanwhile, Little League district administrator James Ada also that CNMI’s Junior Little League is also fortunate to have been acknowledged by Williams Sport for completing five consecutive years participating in the international youth sports program.

Ada said they very honored that Williams Sport recognizes CNMI’s commitment to Little League which has been developed in the islands for the last 15 years.

He said the CNMI has been sending teams in the World Series since 1993 beginning with Majors Division in Pennsylvania.

CNMI also participated in the Little League Big Division in Florida in 1997 and 1998.
