The three top golfers were in a neck-to-neck game in the first three holes with all of them bogeying in Hole 1, until Hardwicke pulled away to the Hole 3’s green where he had a birdie putt to lead his opponents by one stroke.
Taylor on the other hand double-bogeyed and Olopai had consistently been having five strokes to the hole.
Hardwicke birdied again in Hole 7 to finish the front nine with strokes at par 36. Taylor went 7-over par 42 while Olopai fired 6-over par 41 during this round.
Taylor closed in as he eagled in Hole 13 and finished at par 36 in the back nine. However, the deficit he left behind in the front nine cut him short to catch up with Hardwicke who completed the game finishing two strokes over par 74 to win the title.
Taylor shot 6-over par 78 and Olopai, 7-over par 79.
In A Flight, Robert Sablan who birdied in Hole 7 and Carl Hocog who had two birdie putts were tied at 79. Sablan squeezed ahead to beat Hocog. He shot at par 3 against Hocog’s bogey in Hole 16.
Manuel Tenorio and John Cepeda were also tied at 84. Tenorio went ahead of John Cepeda with a bogey 5 to the latter’s triple bogey 6 also in Hole 16.
In the Ladies Flight, Lorraine Babauta won the first place as she shot 88 leaving Mathilde Igitol and Sunny Jeong with first low 75 to settle for the second place and second low 76 for third respectively.
Arthur Camacho shot 83 to beat Ben Jones and John Matsumoto in B Flight.
In C Flight, Adony Matutinol finished with 93 gross beating Ed Sablan and Patrick Blas.
