Hustlers, Home Boyz neck and neck in 8-ball league

The Home Boyz had the upper hand at their home bar, winning four of their seven. With three wins, the Hustlers are tied with the Home Boyz in the Agingan division. Both teams boast 48 wins and 22 losses with a 68.6% win rate.

Nolan Cultura scored the Home Boyz’ first victory when he took Jerry Soriano down in their tie-breaker match.

Hustler’s Erwin Gomez and Rowel Mariano struck wins in the singles round before Home Boyz’ Primo Ferrera defeated Robert Sanciangco.

Mario D. joined Cultura in the doubles round, beating Hustler’s Jomer Enriquez and Gomez. This gave the Home Boyz their chance to lead in the rankings.

In second place are the Jonny’s IT&E Voyagers, who played the IT&E Incredibles at Buddies Bar and Grill. Both teams, also in the Agingan division, continue to show progress with win rates above 60%. Though edging the Voyagers by one point last Tuesday, the Incredibles must recover by four wins to jump in the top three.

Mark Butac pulled through for the Incredibles after beating RJ Mascarinas. The Voyagers however, fought back with wins from Rey Pinangay and Rolly Villanueva. Pinangay prevailed again in the doubles round with Mascarinas.

Incredible’s Dean Borja partnered with Butac in the final doubles game, beating Villanueva and Roman Rodriguez.

USSP Fotten Palaus showed dominance after beating the D’Pirates Team Pirates 4-3. Taylor Watanabe and Mei Rengiil scored four wins for the Palaus, reigning supreme in their singles and doubles matches. Pirates’ Vince Cabrera defeated Arnel Orbita in the singles round prior to Frank Palacios and Joey Agulto’s victories. The Fotten Palaus rank first in the Obyan Division with 34 wins and 36 losses.

Behind the Palaus by two wins is team Wild Bills Shark Attack, who played a close game with the VFW ToroKeyRees.
