GETSEN Jandoc and Justine Enano were named the Finals MVP and Season MVP, respectively, during the awards ceremony of the 2024 Destroyers Basketball Club Invitational Basketball League at the TSL Sports Complex on Sunday.
Jandoc was a key player of Savemore, the league champion. A taller-than-average point guard with great court vision and a deadly three-point shot, the 43-year-old construction worker led his team on the offensive end with 21 points, including five triples and a handful of assists, to defeat Jacob’s Bakeshop, 73-67, in the title game and earn a well-deserved Finals MVP award.
Savemore’s Joel Saplan was named the Best Coach while Justine Enano received the Season MVP award.
A consistently high-scoring player of GMP x Yuman, Enano is an all-around threat with a reliable three-point shot and ability to finish at the rim on the offensive end while making his presence known on the defense end with a handful of blocks and steals.
Enano, a forward, was also named to the Mythical Five alongside guards Frank Ferrer and Manuel Gatbonton, forward Darryl Foronda, and center Bok Bondad.
GMP x Yuman finished third overall in this year’s tournament. Islander Rent-A-Car was fourth, Team Underground was fifth, Saipan Tigers was sixth, Triskelion was seventh and Star Water, the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award, was eighth.
