Jay Muna
JAY Muna shot a total net score of 138 to finish first and secure the Amigos Golf Club’s June Ace of the Month title on Sunday at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s east course.
Muna’s best performance came during the qualifying round on June 1, where his steady swings and soft finishes on the green earned him a gross score of 73. With a handicap of 6, his net score was 67.
In the ace round last Sunday, June 8, Muna struggled not only against the competition but also the weather, finishing with a gross score of 77 and a net score of 71.
However, his initial output was his saving grace, allowing him to clinch first place with a combined two-day net score of 138.
Just one stroke behind was Sixtus Aquino, who finished second with net scores of 71 and 68, for a combined two-day total of 139.
As for the optional play winners, Freddy Salavaria led the Par 3 challenge on hole #3, Sherlyn Jones took holes #7 and #17, and Chris Guerrero claimed hole #13. Each hole carried a $120 prize.
