Cruz was focused throughout the day as he ended the front nine with a gross score of 40 to edge out most of the competition. On the back nine, Cruz managed to maintain a decent stroke for a gross score of 43 and a total score of 83. A 17-handicap golfer, he netted a score of 66.
Jung Eun Take matched Cruz’s output on the front nine, but struggled slightly during the back nine, scoring 45 for a gross total of 85. He has a 14 handicap, which gave him a net score of 71 to take second place.
Rick Kautz made the top three list even though he had a rough start, scoring a gross of 43 for the first nine holes. He improved his odds in the second half of the course with a gross of 39 for a total score of 82. His 10 handicap earned him a net score of 72.
In the Closest to the Pin challenge, Das Krishnan led the pack and was awarded the prize for hole No. 3; Joe Sablan for hole No. 7; Manny Alvarez, hole No. 13; and Larry Deleon Guerrero, hole No. 17.
Krishnan also brought home the Longest Drive award at hole No. 2 while Rick Kautz bagged the prize at hole No. 18.
