JR Reyes scores 29 pts., helps Tinian bust Bank of Guam

Tinian busted BoG, 101-90, mobilizing its players to tally double digit scores on the board.

J.R. Reyes of Tinian bombed BoG’s defense with 29 shots, sending the bankers scrambling to cover an unaddressed deficit throughout the game.

Reyes fired the first four points for Tinian in the first period, forcing BoG’s Jason Taisacan, Randy Pelisamen, and David Palacios to cover for the damage.

However, the Tinian cagers were relentless in their pursuit to claim the game that they shared the burden of putting in double figure scores.

Out of the 29 points total of Reyes, nine shots came from the three-point territory.

The Tinian hotshot fired a three-pointer in the early minutes of the second quarter. Later, Julian Santos tried his luck at the free throw line.

Then, Reyes fired another three points, crafting 39 points for Tinian in the said period.

Santos and Anthony Borja made a couple of two-pointers then Reyes positioned himself again beyond the arc.

Another Reyes from team Tinian did his assignment, scoring 23 points. His name is Ringo Reyes.

Ringo Reyes sprinkled shots in the match, making it hard for BoG to pull itself together for a strong offense.

BoG’s James Villacrusis worked out a plan to narrow his team’s deficit by putting in 28 points total.

Villacrusis made one three points in the game.

For a while their effort seemed to work for they were able to close in the gap during the fourth quarter. However they appeared to have lost touch of the momentum immediately as Tinian pounded on them the idea of staying behind in the match all throughout the remaining minutes.
