Kagman Boys upset Sixers; Mixx Plate posts 2 wins

Ichitaro Faisao determined the offense through out the ball game but did not score in the first half. He must have chosen the right moment he needed to score.

And that moment came.

The game was going neck-to-neck when he cut the lead to one point with his first two-pointer in the game.

Two turnovers exhausted the time and the Sixers were holding on to one-point lead with 18 seconds left.

Ian Benavente grabbed the rebound and saw Joe Ada wide open at the left side.

Ada dribbled an inch away to the side line and went out of bound sending the Kagman fans up on their feet and roar in cheers.

Staring at the clock that dwindled to 10 seconds, Faisao ran in to the open space. He took the inbound and charged the basket for a two-pointer and the Sixers’ four seconds to cross the court did not work out.

Reyes led the Kagman Boys pouring-in eight of his 10 points in the first half.

Jimmy Brel and Ryan Lisua who helped the Kagman Boys close-in finished with 11 and 10 points respectively and Juan Maratita who worked hard with Reyes in the first period added nine points.

In the game between U18 Girls and U14 Boys, Mixx Plate claimed a pair of victories over the G-Stars and Rollers B.

Roxanne Duenas opened the first half with three-pointer and repeated this halfway to the break to set the strong lead. She blasted from outside the territory again in the second half for her 15 points and Mixx Plate continued to pull away.

Wilani Sikyang also helped protect the lead tallying eight points.

Francine Babauta, Dion Diaz, Daylene Joseph and Nikita Hofschneider added four points apiece to help secure their 49-42 victory over the G-Stars.

Against the G-Rollers, Duenas maintained his feat from behind the arc and finished with 11 points to help Mixx Plate rout the U14 Boys.

Nikki Lebria also fired a three-pointer and finished with seven points and Daylene Joseph chipped in six points to help Mixx Plate keep the gap wide open towards the ball game.
