KAGMAN High School’s varsity and junior varsity teams continue to dominate the SBL-PSS Interscholastic Boys High School Slow Pitch Softball League SY 23-24 after defeating their respective opponents Monday at the Dandan baseball field.
KHS V bagged their fourth win by outplaying Saipan Southern High School V, 5-1.
It was KHS V’s toughest match yet, but that did not stop them from controlling the ball game. While SSHS V struggled to build momentum during the first three innings, KHS V slipped in two runs as Joell Borja brought in Jon Diaz for an RBI double in the bottom of the first while Justin Camacho brought in Noah Aguon for an RBI single in the bottom of the second to lead, 2-1.
SSHS V finally broke the silence in the top of the fourth inning as Dreyvan Ada capitalized off a fielder’s choice. However, that was the end of their offensive highlight as they were shut down for the remainder of the game. KHS V resumed their onslaught with three runs in the bottom of the fifth en route to victory, 5-1.
KHS JV vs MHS JV
KHS JV, for their part, dominated Marianas High School JV, 14-1.
KHS JV’s Myles Remoket was the star of the day as he connected two triples and a double to earn several RBIs in four innings.
Other games
On Saturday, KHS V trounced Mount Carmel School V, 15-3 while KHS JV routed SSHS JV, 14-1.
