KANOA Football Club has yet to face defeat in the U17 boys division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2024, gathering their sixth win by blanking the Women’s Developmental Team, 5-0, at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Saturday.

KNFC displayed complete control throughout the first half of the match.

After just two minutes of play, they quickly overwhelmed the WDT with constant pressure as Tyler Omelau found the back of the net to take the lead.

KNFC did not let up as they stayed aggressive and were rewarded with a second goal just two minutes later by Paul Lizama to extend their lead, 2-0.

WDT finally adjusted their strategy and managed to stop the bleeding for nearly the remainder of the opening half. However, KNFC eventually broke through the line of defense once more, allowing Izeah Jolo to deliver an easy shot to keep the momentum burning moving into the halftime break, 3-0.

In the second half, the WDT started creating shot opportunities and defensive stops, but they were unable to score. KNFC, for their part, found their second wind with Lizama scoring back-to-back goals  at the 57th and 70th minute marks for a hat-trick and the win, 5-0.

Winners too

Joining the winner’s circle was the MP United Football Club thanks to the lone goal by Gyu Hyeon Park to slip past Matansa Football Club, 1-0.

Latte Football Club triumphed without a sweat after Paire Football Club gave them the win via forfeit.

In the U17 girls division, MPU trounced PFC, 7-1, and was led by Fiona Regan with four goals while Shirley’s Football Club won via forfeit against Matansa Football Club.
