LINA Tsukagoshi bagged two titles during the three-day Tan Holdings Badminton Open 2024, which concluded Sunday at the Ada gym.

In the U19 Girls Singles event, the 13-year-old player dominated bracket 1 which had four other competitors: Yilin Huang, Eunji Hahn, Jessican Chen and Nichole Uaga. Tsukagoshi took down Chen and Huang twice, and awaited her next opponent.

Huang made her way back to face Tsukagoshi for the third time, but Tsukagoshi emerged victorious once again to secure a spot in the finals against the winner of bracket 2.

Genelyn Lansangan was Tsukagoshi’s eventual opponent.

Besides Lansangan, the other bracket 2 players were Barbara Wang, Angela Maratas, Jasmyne Tolentino and Elisha Henson.

Lansangan defeated  Henzon and Wang twice to set up a championship match against Tsukagoshi.

In third place was Barbara Wang who toppled Yi Lin Huang, 21-16, 21-15.
