KANOA and Shirley’s football clubs have yet to face defeat in the Tikekcha-Awaal division of the Dove Women’s League Spring 2024 after defeating their respective opponents at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday.
Kanoa FC bagged their sixth win by gunning down Paire Football Club, 5-1.
KFNC managed to set the tone from the starting whistle with Irish Pagarao finding the back of the net after just five minutes of play to give her team the lead 1-0.
After a series of exchanges, PFC eventually found an answer with Lindsay Davis slipping a shot at the 16th minute mark to even the score, 1-1.
KNFC quickly recovered and worked their way to three more goals contributed by Kaithlyn Chavez, who had two, and Audrey Castro, who had one, to regain a comfortable lead, 4-1.
The second half was more focused on defense and neither team could easily penetrate through each other’s defensive walls. But KNFC’s endless pressure eventually overwhelmed PFC, allowing Pagarao to capitalize with a daggering goal to secure the win, 5-1.
Shirley’s Football Club also remains unscathed as they silenced the Women’s Development Team, 5-0.
Shirley’s Jannah Casarino led the assault with three goals while teammate Raven Anderson scored two.
