SAEHEE Kim and Rose Rohlinger started the new year strong by winning the January and February tournaments of the CNMI Women’s Golf Association at the Kingfisher Golf Links and Coral Ocean Resort.
Kim claimed the January title on Jan. 11 by shooting a gross of 41 on the front nine and maintaining a steady swing toward the back nine with another gross of 41 to accumulate a gross total of 82. With a handicap of 6, her net score of 76 was more than enough to secure first place as she was seven strokes ahead of the competition.
Dol Yamagishi and EunAe Chang tied for second place, each with a net score of 83.
On Feb. 8, Rose Rohlinger claimed the February title.
On the front nine, she shot a gross of 43 and even though the back nine proved a bit tougher, she still notched a decent gross of 47 for a gross total of 90. Thanks to her handicap of 20, she finished first with a net score of 70.
In second place was SaeHee Kim with a net score of 71 followed by Lorraine Babauta in third with a net score of 72.
