Kontenders practically lost the first half of the game with 18 points only on the board.
The team pulled itself out of the rut on the next period through the help of Tirnos Ogumoro who made 16 points.
Ogumoro fired only four points during the first half; most of his scores were made during the second half of play, pulling Kontenders out of the rut.
Rollers II led the game during the first half with 27 points, but were not able to maintain its good showing in the initial part of the game.
Based on the tally, Rollers II were basically one point lower than Kontenders.
Kontenders gave off 49 points, while Rollers II triggered 48 shots.
Soane Pua, Wayne Dawe, and Jester Kaipat helped Ogumoro in the court with strong offensive play, breaking the Rollers II defense.
Pua, Dawe, and Kaipat made 8 points each on the board.
The other players who contributed to Kontenders’ victory include Jun Laniyo, Douglas Dillay, and Mailau Dome’e.
