Lady Dolphins outgun Mantas

During the first game amongst the Junior Varsity division team MHS buried team SSHS six feet under the ground after star player of the night Jeraldine Castillo fiercely lead the way for the lady Dolphins throughout the game by bagging a total of 10 points.

She did not do this alone however and teammate Rachel Abrams jumped into the winning band wagon of the Lady Dolphins and helped her out by collaring 6 points for the team.

Dolphin player Charlene Lizardo chipped in her two pence to secure their imminent win against the Lady Ayuyus.

During the Varsity bout between the Lady Dolphins and Lady Manta Rays, the Dolphins took major advantage of their home arena to kick the Manta Rays out of the water.

The Lady Dolphins grabbed an early lead in the first quarter of the game with team player Jeralyn Castillo collaring 10 swift points for MHS whilst teammate Lia Rangamar repeatedly stole possession of the ball to successfully drive it home 3 times for a total of 6 points whilst being fouled by SSHS’ Coquina Teregeyo on her fourth attempt, with less than two minutes and 45 seconds left of the first quarter, for a jump shot only to sink both charities to tally 8 points for the Dolphins for the first quarter alone, yanking the winner’s stance of the game by blowing a gargantuan 30 point crevice between the two teams.

The Lady Dolphins did not let the opposing team pass them nor score more than a total of 25 points throughout the 40 minute bout.

The lady Dolphins opened the second quarter with a winning rally. Jamie Mendoza scored 8 points sending the MHS fans into a wild frenzy. Lia Rangamar was not far from the scene as time and time again she stole possession of the ball to chip in her 7 pence to leave the lady Manta Rays behind as the Dolphins widened the gap to 51-10 by half time.

As the second half unraveled the lady Manta Rays tried to muster strength and device game plans to take the lead away from the Dolphins.

Unfortunately for the Manta Rays the damage was already done in the first two quarters with the wound being to big to heal as the final score for the end of the third quarter was 75-19.

It was history for the fatigue driven Manta Rays. They were able to make no more than 5 points together in the final ten minutes of the game as Roxanne Duenas fired a down town shot successfully.

Jamie Mendoza of the Lady Dolphins heralded her team’s win by collaring in another 9 points for the Dolphins to secure the win ferociously, 81-25
