Lancheros grab 3rd straight win; San Roque, 6-Pack prevail

 

Catcher Bill Aguon who helped put up the lead when the Lancheros beat Red Eye last week, had three run-scoring base hits out of four at-bats leading the visiting squad to 16-4 rout of Team Fuegu.

Second baseman James Kintol went 2-for-3 and outlasted Team Fuegu pitcher, Roger Marlik in the top of the first inning to secure the first base with a walk, then, scored.

Jack Diaz drove-in a run with a double but was thrown out when he tried to steal second base. Aguon saved the day with an RBI single, Sheldon Fernando drove-in a run with walk and Anson Jones added an RBI single.

Jess Cabrera and Kintol strengthen the lead in the second inning with a two-run single and an RBI double respectively.

Team Fuegus’ Shane Iguel walked and scored the first run in the bottom of the second on Marsen Siten’s single.

But the Lancheros went on to bury them deeper as Leonard Camacho drove-in two runs with single in the third inning.

Cabrera and Diaz walked on Arnold Sarapio who replaced Malik in the mound and the Lancheros stretched the lead again in the fourth.

Aguon and Kintol secured the 10-run rule victory with a run-scoring double and a two-run single respectively in the fifth inning.

San Roque 21, Red Eye 5

Chris Camacho, Chad Atalig and Tony Luzama went on a hard-hitting spree as San Roque showed Red Eye no mercy for their 3-game winning streak.

EJ Tenorio led off a double and stole home base before David Camacho drove-in a run with a single to set the lead in the top of the first inning.

After Camacho’s two-run home run, Jonathan Tenorio added a run-scoring single and before San Roque ended the first inning with a strong lead.

Luzama hit a solo home run Jesse Sablan and EJ Tenorio had an RBI single apiece before Atalig drove-in three runs with a homer and San Roque never trailed.

Randy Tudela and Jeff Tenorio added an RBI single apiece in the fifth inning.

Red Eye had 10 base hits and five runs.

6-Pack 19,

Calikano Falcons 18

From a two-run deficit in the top of the fourth inning, 6-Pack rallied in the fifth and took the big lead.

The Calikano Falcons got it back in the bottom of the six inning, but second baseman Mel Aldan and Frank Babauta saved the day with a two-run double and run-scoring single respectively to help 6-Pack grabbed the victory during the late-night game.

The Calikano Falcons were pounding 6-Pack towards the fourth inning when Aldan hit a solo home run to cut the lead down to two runs. Then, the 6-Pack sluggers riddled the Falcons fielders with four straight base hits to tie the game in the fifth before Dan Repeki connected a three-run home run for the strong lead and Jeff Repeki pulled 6-Pack away with a solo home run.

The Falcons were quick to retaliate in the sixth inning, with outfielder, Navan Falig and Nunu Kapileo firing a two-run home run apiece, Darren Pua driving-in two runs with a triple and Gerald Jones hitting an RBI single.

Dan Repeki led off a walk against Emoa Iguel, Aldan hit the two-run double and Fran Babauta drove him in with a single.
