LATTE and Kanoa football clubs emerged victorious in two separate matches in the A division of the Dove Women’s League Spring 2025 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Latte Football Club outlasted Shirley’s Football Club, 2-0, on Wednesday last week.

Both teams played evenly throughout most of the match, with neither able to find the back of the net in the first half.

In the second half, after the 50th minute, fatigue began to affect Shirley’s, creating openings in their defensive line. Latte seized the opportunity to apply pressure and finally broke through, with Tamia Kileleman Hix at the forefront, scoring the first goal of the game in the 54th minute to take control, 1-0.

Shirley’s attempted to equalize, but each effort ended in near misses. As time wore on, they became desperate and rushed their attempts.

Latte turned defense into offense, with Khristelle Itaas scoring the team’s second goal in the 62nd minute to seal the victory, 2-0.

On Sunday, however, Latte found themselves on the losing end, silenced by Kanoa Football Club, 5-0. Kanoa’s Kaithlyn Chavez single-handedly defeated Latte, scoring all five of her team’s goals.
