Including Lim, there will be a total of four players set for the table tennis events at the Micro Games. The other three include Budhi Gurung, Su Yong Dong, and Luke Lu. They plan to compete in both the singles and doubles events. Lim and Gurung will compete as doubles partners, along with partners Dong and Lu.
Their games are scheduled from August 3 to 5. All players are booked to leave the island on July 30, and will later return on August 6.
Steve Lim has been participating in table tennis events on island since 1999 as a coach and president. Lim has participated in the 2005 South Pacific Mini Games as well as the 6th Micronesian Games hosted by the CNMI in 2006.
Both Lim and Gurung are currently preparing for their games at San Antonio, where they hold practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 10 pm.
