Short stopper, Ricardo Dela Cruz whose earlier attempts to score were thwarted twice by his counterpart came back in the fifth inning by firing a three-run home run.
Greg Iskawa made it to the first base on third base baseman’s catching error before Richard Dela Cruz drove him in with triple to take the lead in the first inning.
With one out in the second inning, Chargualaf singled and scored the second run for the Lion Kings. From the mound, Chargualaf allowed only one base hit in three straight innings while catcher, Richard and center fielder, Leo Blas caught fly balls.
The Lion Kings continued the surge with Blas hitting a run-scoring double and Colin Cruz driving in a run on an error by the short stopper.
Randal Taitano moved Chris Alepuyo to scoring position on a base-on-ball then Ricardo drove-in a run with a sacrifice bat to let the Lion Kings widen the gap in the fourth inning.
After Ricardo’s three-run home run, LJ Norita added an RBI single in the fifth and the Lion Kings finished the D-9ers off with two more runs in the sixth.
Survivors 5, TSL A’s 2
The Survivors came back in the fifth inning and went all the way to win the ball game against TSL A’s in what appeared to be a battle of pitchers in the Junior League.
Roppul allowed only two runs out of three base hits he gave up in the first inning, then, he and the Survivors held their ground kept the A’s scoreless in towards the end of the game.
Roppul struck out three before Jose Lizama Jr., relieved him on the mound in the fourth inning.
Lizama Jr., gave the A’s runless four innings by striking out eight more batters. He also hit a single and scored the lone run in the third inning.
Lizama Jr. knocked-in his second base hit in the fifth inning followed by Desmond Abraham’s single, then, they both made it home to take the lead.
Paul Celis and Lizama Jr. walked before Dan Smith Jr., sent them home on a sacrifice bat to cap their three-run victory.
IT&E 13,Kagman Lion Heart 5
After handing the Kagman Lion Hearts a hitless first inning, IT&E Northern fired four base hits to take the edge leading to their 13-5 victory.
With only one out left to give up, Frankie Norita singled and stole second base. Then, Rob Tudela drove him in with a single.
Brandon Dela Cruz doubled and scored run from Jeremy Atalig’s triple and IT&E Northern had the upper ground to proceed.
Brel Yobech singled for the Lion Hearts and stole second base before Justin Reyes moved him to scoring spot with a single in the top of the second inning.
Brandon hit an RBI single and the Lion Hearts tied the game.
With Catalina Dela Cruz striking out two, the Lion Hearts held IT&E Northern scoreless in the bottom of the second inning.
Then, Cedric Ada unleashed a powerful shot launching an inside-the-park home run to help the Lion Hearts come back in the top of the third.
Haini Blas doubled for IT&E, stole second before scoring a run in the bottom of the third, Frankie Norita singled and stole second base too, and with two outs, Sid Nepaial fired a run-scoring single to bring the lead back.
Brandon Dela Cruz and Ian Lizama walked Jeremy Atalig drove them in with single, and IT&E secured their first victory.
