The semifinal round were played on a cool Monday evening which playing conditions were ideal and was in severe distinction to the vicious sun over the weekend.And as the first match between Francis Llecholech and challenger Noel Reyes,Llecholech was too much for Reyes as the latter used his outstanding control of the tempo of the game and was able to hit the ball in placement from both wings to earn a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
On the other hand, the second match that showcased Ben Ramos and Jonathan Kaminsky was a sheer duplicate of the first match as Kaminsky blew Ramos off his usual game with a score of 6-0, 6-1. Kaminsky was able to keep his opponent tip toed at all times as he was very consistent on his game plan, using his strong forehand returnsand frequently coming to net,that continuously caught Ramos all throughout the match off balance.As a result, the Llechoelch and Kaminsky duel for the finals. The exciting final match is set to be played as long as the weather permits.The singles tennis tournament is in connection to the 25th year anniversary of the Palau Pacific Resort.
