JOSE & Ruri Ayuyu Foundation President Marcia Ayuyu on Thursday handed Northern Marianas College Foundation Chairman Ben M. Babauta a $2,000 check for the annual NMC Golf Classic Open, to be held March 21–22, 2026, at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort’s East and West courses.

Ayuyu, in a statement, said, “We are honored to support the NMC Golf Classic! This is the first time that the Jose & Ruri Ayuyu Foundation is joining as a sponsor for this tournament. NMC has made major strides this past year with the opening of their new building, and they continue to be at the forefront of providing quality and affordable education. We stand by their mission, and we are honored to contribute to the good work they are doing for their students and the community.”

On behalf of the NMC Foundation, Babauta extended his heartfelt thanks to the Jose & Ruri Ayuyu Foundation for the generous $2,000 gift.

“This contribution directly supports our students and strengthens our mission to expand access to quality higher education in the Marianas. We are deeply grateful for the Foundation’s continued investment in our community’s future,” Babauta said.
