
TEAM NMI earned its second silver medal thanks to runner Landen Taflinger, who secured a second-place finish in the Men’s 1500m Under 20 division at the Oceania Athletics Championships. Competing in Heat 1, the 18-year-old clocked an impressive 4:25.83, narrowly missing the top spot in a thrilling race against Guam’s Rynier Di Ramos, who finished just ahead in 4:24.54. Taflinger finished comfortably ahead of Tonga’s Mounga Leao (4:30.00) and the rest of the field, keeping the momentum going for Team NMI.
