(NMC) — Continuing its support for higher education in the CNMI, Marianas Variety has contributed $8,000 in in-kind donations to the Northern Marianas College Foundation as a Gold Sponsor of the NMC Golf Open, scheduled for March 21 and 22, 2026.
“Marianas Variety is proud to support initiatives that expand opportunity for our future generations and strengthen our Commonwealth for the long term,” said Amier C. Younis, president of Marianas Variety. “The NMC Golf Open reflects that mission — golf teaches resilience, focus, and perseverance, lessons that apply far beyond the course. Through this tournament, we invest in both character and education, helping prepare the next generation to lead the CNMI forward.”
The NMC Golf Open will be a two-day tournament held at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort, with a registration fee of $250 per player.
“Support from partners like Marianas Variety is essential to the mission of the NMC Foundation,” said Ben Babauta, chairman of the NMC Foundation. “Their commitment helps us continue building programs and facilities that expand access to education and strengthen the future of the CNMI.”
The tournament, which is the signature fundraising event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide greater access to quality education for residents of the islands.
