IN a season defined by offensive fireworks and a clean sweep in the championships, Just4Fun has officially reached the mountaintop of the 2025 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Open League as back-to-back champions.
Led by a historic performance from Nate Camacho, he not only helped Just4Fun secure the championship but also dominated the individual awards during Sunday’s ceremony at Dandan Ballfield.
The story of the season was undoubtedly Camacho, who put together one of the most statistically impressive campaigns of the year. In the championship series, he went three for four — including a two-run home run — in game 1, and five for five at bat — including two three-run homers and a solo home run—in game 2, earning both the Regular Season MVP and the Playoff MVP awards, a testament to his consistency and clutch performance.
Camacho also claimed the Home Run Champion award with a total of 18 home runs and the RBI Champion title, contributing a total of 40 RBIs.
While Camacho provided the power, teammate Ben Jones Jr. provided the precision, taking home the Batting Championship with a blistering .795 average, going 31-for-39 at the plate.
Regular season standouts
Despite Just4Fun’s championship glory, the regular season belonged to Akkari, who finished as the Regular Season Champions. They were led by Branon Hocog, who took home the Runs Scored title with 31. Mamaaw followed closely as the regular season runners-up.
Other individual standouts included:
• Doubles Champion: Nokki Saralu (Belias Bat Boys) – 9
• Triples Champion: James Phillips (Taza Nei) – 7
• Sportsmanship Award: Chochu Maigu
On the defensive side, Jerry Guerrero of Kebruka was the league’s most effective arm, posting a 5.58 ERA to claim the Earned Run Average award. Meanwhile, Jeff Isaac of Saipal led the league with 36 strikeouts to earn the Strikeout Champion title.
