The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association held a send-off ceremony on Saturday, May 30, at the Crowne Plaza Resort for the NMI Women’s National Team ahead of its departure for the preliminary competition of the Women’s EAFF E-1 Football Championship.
Scheduled from June 3 to 9 on Guam, the tournament places the NMI squad in Group B, where it will face Chinese Taipei in back-to-back matches.
Team NMI will take on Chinese Taipei in Match Day 1 on June 5 at 7:15 p.m., followed by a Match Day 2 rematch on June 7 at 2:30 p.m. The NMI joins regional heavyweights Chinese Taipei, Korea Republic, Macau, and host Guam in competing for a spot in the next stage.
