
TEAM NMI middle-distance runner Addalee Taflinger placed sixth in the women’s U18 1500m at the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships on Tuesday afternoon at Arafura Stadium in Darwin, Australia. Competing in Heat 1, the 16-year-old clocked 5:28.32 in her second event of the championships. The tactical race was dominated by Australia and New Zealand athletes, with Australia’s Zoe St John winning in 4:34.78, followed by teammate Pippa Schwarz (4:37.18) and New Zealand’s Paige Dobson (4:38.39).
