TEAM NMI sprinter Theodore Rodgers delivered a personal-best performance on the track Thursday at the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin, Australia.
Competing in Heat 2 of the Men’s 200m Senior Prelims at Arafura Stadium, the 20-year-old collegiate standout clocked a blazing 23.67 seconds, shaving 0.01 seconds off his previous personal best of 23.68 set at last summer’s Pacific Mini Games. Rodgers lined up against a formidable field that included heat winner Christopher Ius of Australia, carrying the competitive spirit and resilience of a CNMI community still rebuilding from the impact of Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
