LYDIA Tan topped the October golf tournament of the CNMI Women’s Golf Association at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort west course on Saturday.
Tan did not have the best start as she cleared the front nine with a gross of 50. But her swing greatly improved in the transition to the back nine, shooting a gross of 40 for a gross total of 90. With a 20 handicap, her net score was 70, which gave her first place.
Coming in second was Sae Hee Kim, who shot a gross of 44 on the front nine and 40 on the back for a gross total of 84. With a handicap of 10, her total net score was 74.
In third place was Janet Torres, who shot a gross of 49 on the front nine and 45 on the back for a gross total of 94. Aided by a 15 handicap, her net score was 79.
