Entry fee is $150 and is payable to SMLBA. Proceeds from the tournament will help defray costs for the CNMI national baseball teams’ participation in the upcoming Pacific Games in Noumea, New Caledonia from August 27 to September 10, 2011.
A double elimination format will be utilized during the tournament and cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded to the top two finishers. A homerun derby will be held and the winner will receive cash prize as well.
The SMLBA and the national team are encouraging all softball enthusiasts to support this fundraising cause by registering their intention to participate. Generous contributions will be greatly appreciated.
An organizational meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 6:30 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium pavilion. All interested are invited to attend.
