Malibo’s 2-run single hands Bush-A-Mad crown in women’s softball

Malibo was among Bush-A-Mad’s weakest links during the first match as she got struck out twice.

In her final attempt, only the first base was the farthest she could go after being thrown on a fielder’s choice, leaving her runless through out the game that Sakudi won, 8-3.

Malibo also did not do much except for an RBI single when Bush-A-Mad got even with Sakudi in the second game.

With Edwina Baulechong and Didiich Tudela hitting an RBI double apiece, Bush-A-Mad took the lead in the first inning during the final round.

Bert Camacho doubled and Paulie singled before Popo Tudela and Jenny hit an RBI single apiece to tie the ball game in the fourth inning.

With its short stop and outfielder catching two fly balls, and first baseman doing well with pitcher, Sakudi held Bush-A-Mad scoreless in two straight innings. Then, Pauline had her third base hit, this time driving in a run for a lead. Jenny repeated her feat to add another run and Sakudi edged Bush-A-Mad by two runs in the sixth inning.

Janet Jones and Tudela singled before Emmy Quitugua drove-in a run on an error by Sakudi infielders to close in.

Then, with Tudela and Emmy in a scoring position, Malibo fired her second base hit in the championship series to snatch the title away from Sakudi, 5-4.
