Edward Manibusan came out victorious after netting a 69 posting the best score vying against Joe Demapan who nailed a net of 70 followed by Nick Sablan with a net of 72. Fourth place was comfortably filled by Tony Guerrero with a net 73 closely tailed by Ray Salas with a net of 74 and in sixth place was Ray San Nicolas 74.
Ace winner Edward Manibusan achieved the Longest Drive award on hole No.2 while Larry Hocog struck far on hole no.12. Manibusan was on a role and refused to stop with the Longest Drive. He clinched two closest to the pin on hole No.3 and 7. Nick Sablan and Joe Demapan collared one closest to the pin each on hole No.13 and 17 respectively.
Other competitors include Steve Balakrishna (76), Manny Blas (76), John Cruz (76), Jung Eun Taek (76), Rick Kautz (77), Mariano Fajardo (78), Larry Guerrero (80), Jim Mitchell (80), Norbert Sablan (82), Larry Hocog (82), Frances Sablan (83), Edward Sablan (86), Martin Sablan (87), and Das Krishna (91).
Edward Manibusan now joins the January, February, and March aces who are Tony Deleon Guerrero, John Cruz, and Nick Sablan. These aces will battle out during the Ace of Ace tournament at the end of the year where there will be 12 competitors vying for the perpetual trophy and bragging rights as the Ace of Aces winner.
Along with the ace tournament the SGA sponsors every month for its association members the SGA has donated money to different organizations around the island.
Just recently SGA donated to the Marianas March Against Cancer’s golf tournament and to the Japanese survivors of the earthquake and tsunami disaster through the Japan Consulate office in Guam.
