Sufa Softball Association’s Softball Tournament Fundraiser at the Capital Hill Softball Field last Sunday.
The Kagman Mobil was in two-run advantage when Maratita hit a double and drove in Dave Lizama and Julian Camacho during the decisive run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Maratita also homered and as he went 2-for-4.
Dane Lizama capped the three-run inning with an RBI scoring John Terlaje to secure the win.
T-Minko scored six runs in the first and three runs in the second innings as Terlaje held K-Mobil scoreless in the first, second, fourth and fifth inning.
Jack Guerrero went a perfect 3-for-3 hitting a double.
Julian Camacho hit a home run and went 2-for-4. He also had two RBIs and one double.
Terlaje who struck out one also hit two RBIs and Ken Kaipat hit one RBI.
The first place winner of the tournament brings home $150, the second place, $75 and the third place, $50.
Meanwhile, members and delegates of the Sufa Softball Association’s team are set to leave next month to participate in the 4th Annual Labor Day Softball Tournament that will be held in Las Vegas from Aug. 27 to Sept. 4.
The team will be accompanied by Bishop Tomas Camacho and Charlene Teregeyo.
The Sufa Softball Team members are Delbert Sablan, Ed Flores, Joe Flores, Mario Salas, Bill Aguon, Frank Camacho, Tom Ito, Frank Hocog, Joe Salas, Joe Cruz, Tony “Toi” Celis, Jovie Flores, Cathy Salas, Charlie Cepeda, Manny Sablan, Anthony Salas and Roque Celis.
