Marianas Pro Tokyo 2025 delivers world-class competition; winners to advance to Guam for Marianas Open International Championship

HAGÅTÑA — The Marianas Pro Tokyo 2025, held on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Tokyo, Japan, showcased an elite level of competition, drawing top-tier athletes from across the region. This prestigious event served as a critical proving ground for high-level grapplers, with winners earning the opportunity to compete at the Marianas Open International Championship in Guam this October.

The tournament featured standout performances from representatives of Atos, Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam, Figo Bonsai Guam, Heights Academy Guam, Carlson Gracie Guam, Purebred BJJ Guam and Barrett Submissions in the CNMI. Each team displayed exceptional technical proficiency, strategic execution, and competitive resilience, further solidifying the prominence of the Pacific’s jiu-jitsu talent on the global stage.

With teams from Marianas Pro Tokyo securing tickets to Guam, the island is preparing to welcome a significant influx of visitors in October. One team alone is bringing over 60 athletes, while more than 200 competitors from Tokyo have already confirmed their plans to compete in the Marianas Open International Championship. This surge in participation highlights the tournament’s growing prestige and Guam’s role as a premier destination for high-level jiu-jitsu competition.
