MBA defeated CCA 25-19 in the first set, but the CCA servers made straight hits to recover and took the second set.
Won-Woo Shoi’s serves helped MBA lead in the final set while Alina Ichikawa and Kristopher Morales went for a kill to maintain the gap towards the end of the game.
Morales scored repeatedly from the attack line and Ichikawa tossed a free ball and scored to pull MBA away from CCA.
Shoi’s toss from the left side of the attack area landed at Hae Sung Lee’s hands but the ball went out of bound. This made the final score and the MBA won.
On Thursday, Mount Carmel School defeated Saipan International School’s Blue Team in middle school division.
In high school division, SIS Blue Team beat MCS, 25-23, 15-25, 15-4.
