In the latest game last Friday, Marianas Baptist Academy posted its second victory in high school division after defeating Saipan International School’s Team B.
SIS bombarded MBA with an eight-point lead in the first set, 25-17.
Yuko Takayama’s serve sent SIS rear defenders to an error and tied the game 23-23 during the second set.
SIS’ Caleb Arriola led a series of retaliation right afterwards but the ball hardly hit MBA’s ground.
Ji Hoon mounted a couple of strike from the attack area to give MBA a two-point advantage forcing the game into a third set.
After tying the game, 10-10 in the final period, MBA never looked back.
Christine Reyes helped control the offense and Hoon continue to the surge leading to their 15-10 victory.
