MCDONALD’S Saipan has renewed its partnership with Northern Marianas Athletics and the Public School System by donating $3,000 as the main sponsor of the McDonald’s-PSS All School Track and Field (Athletics) SY23-24 season on Friday.

Th vice president and owner/operator of McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan, Marcia Ayuyu, handed the check to NMA President Ramon Tebuteb, coach/development officer Elias Rangamar, and PSS Athletics Program Director Nick Gross.

“There are really no words to say but thank you,” Tebuteb told Ayuyu, adding that the partnership with McDonald’s and other sports supporters is crucial for the development of local athletes.

He is also thankful for “the connection that we have with PSS, McDonald’s and the whole community and the positive impact it has created.”

NMA and PSS’ partnership with McDonald’s is now in its 19th straight year.

“Athletics is one of the most unique sports because unlike other sports, we need a lot of equipment, and the equipment we purchase is not cheap,” Tebuteb said.

Gross said the ongoing commitment of McDonald’s benefits the PSS Athletics Program and the students.

“It’s a fantastic partnership that continues to bring our community together…with kids enjoying the opportunity to showcase their talents,” Gross added.

Last week, the elementary division events of the McDonald’s-PSS All Schools Track and Field (Athletics) SY 23-24 concluded. The middle and high school division finale will close the current season this Friday and Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex.
