MISO tournaments headed for Friday

“Although Kagman High School and Saipan Southern High School have one game remaining in the regular season, MISO has decided to cancel said game in order to preserve pitchers for tournament play as well as the fact that the game would not change the overall standings,” said MISO acting president Nick Gross in an email.

KHS will be playing Marianas High School this Friday at 3 p.m. The winning team will then play SSHS on Saturday’s championship game.

Due to Tinian High School’s withdrawal from the league, MISO’s volleyball tournament will also shift to a five-team double elimination tournament scheduled for Friday, 2 p.m. at the MHS gymnasium.

Saipan International School currently leads with an undefeated eight win record, followed by KHS with five wins and three losses.

“MISO will leave it up to the coaches and their administrators to make sure their team is at the venue, warmed-up, and ready to perform by game time. We will not play the third set if we do not need to and a coin flip will decide the home and visitor,” added Gross.
