Lalaine Pagarao top scored with 32 points to lead the Mix-A-Lots, 46-36 against the struggling Lazy Buttsss during the 2011 Women’s Summer Basketball League at the Tan Siu Lin Sports Complex yesterday.
The Lazy Buttsss fell three-points behind in the first half and collapsed from a series of easy layups from Mercedes Mesa and Hofschneider.
The Mix-A-Lots returned to their feet following a 64-45 loss versus Team Aye Par Battay last Monday.
Pagarao wasted no time on her fast break plays, dodging block attempts from Marie Javier and Ira Palero.
Piailug Elilai fired back with a three-pointer, Javier scored from a layup, and Palero connected a layup-free throw combo to slow the Mix-A-Lots.
Pagarao pulled away on three straight shots and Maria Iriarte squeezed in a field goal to keep the team ahead. Mesa and Hofschneider tallied six points apiece.
Pagarao sealed the game on two three-pointers before being fouled by Keolani Rios several feet from the basket.
The Party Rockers, made up of the 15-and-under National Team, played against team Aye Par Battay in another game but results weren’t available during press time.
