Mobil, Marianas Wireless defeat foes

Jun Estolas with teammates Leo Factor, and Gyles Reluket from mobile worked together in the first 10 minutes of the game to bucket 21 points grabbing an early 5 point lead over team Oches at the bottom of the first quarter.

That did not daunt team Oches and instead they tried to rise above Mobil. In their fierce attempt, Jr. Barios bucketed a whopping 17 points all by himself working with teammate Pedro Lizama who contributed 6 points.

Barrios and Lizama were able to close the gap to 3 points at the end of the second quarter.

In the opening of the third quarter, team Mobil displayed a good example of team work as Kevin Fitial, Gyles Reluket worked together to score 5 points each working with their other teammate Marvin Rabauliman who contributed 4 points. All three of them also widened the gap over the other team by 6 points at the end of the quarter.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, fatigue got the better side of Team Oche’s and they started missing more shots but never giving up. Jhon Abedes of Oches, scored 9 points in his attempt to catch up to team Mobil working side by side with teammate Edwin Santos who bucketed 6 points for the team. However, Jomary Tumaquip, Marvin Rabauliman, and Leo Factor worked  together to score 5 points a piece securing a 7 point lead over team Oches beating them in the last seconds of the game.

With the next game lined up in the league of the same day, Marianas Wireless rose above team Sparks.

In the opening quarter, Zachary Babauta scored 9 points working with teammate Sali Hossain who contributed 6 points of his own for team Sparks. Kaye Bernardo scored a whopping 12 points working with teammate Jeremy Tamayo who contributed 6 points of his own for Marianas Wireless. At the bottom of the first quarter, team Wireless took a 2 point lead over Sparks.

Sparks fought fiercely in the second quarter. Thomas Santos bucketed 7 points working side by side with teammate Zachary Babauta who scored 5 points. However, in their heroic attempt to close the gap team Wireless still had opportunities to slip past their defense. Sonny Lerio still scored 7 points with teammate Colenn Aquino who scored 6 points to widen the gap even further against Sparks to 5 points by half time.

After the short break it was back to the ball game. Bart Demapan scored 7 points for the Marianas Wireless to broad cast it against Sparks’ Sali Hossain who also scored 7 points. Team Sparks were able to close the gap to 52 points all near the end of the third quarter but Demapan’s free throw shot still gave team Wireless a 1 point leverage as the siren closed the third quarter.

Kaye Bernardo scored 8 points in the last quarter for team Wireless working side by side with teammates Jhon Ponteleon who scored a three pointer and one free throw shot to contribute 5 points to the winning team.

Eventually as the siren rang to end the game, Marianas Wireless were able to slip past team Sparks by 4 points only.
