MOE sportsfest begins Monday

Up first game as of presstime were the between Palau High School (PHS) Spiders against a team formed by the Catholic Missions Schools (CMS) followed by Koror Elementary School teachers and staff goes face to face with the Airai Elementary School.

Then today, Meyuns Elementary School (MES) will be fired up as they meet with the Special Education Staff and Teachers after which George B. Harris Elementary School (GBH) tries to get their win against the Palau Community Action Agency (PCAA) on the second match. Then on Wednesday, Ministry of Education (MOE) staff will try to flex their muscles when they be matched with the CMS volleyball players on the first game while, PHS Spiders struts their stuff against the team from Special Education.

MOE organized the MOE 2010 Volleyball Competition in which 9 teams that composed of local elementary schools, highschool, and institutions connected to education have shown interest namely MOE, PHS, KES, Meyuns, GBH, PCAA, Special Education, Airai, and CMS. All games will be played at the Koror Elementary School gym wherein first games will begin at exactly 6:00 p.m. followed by the second match that starts at 7:00 p.m.

Rules of the league indicates that there should be a minimum of three players in the court at all times and that first game teams will officiate the second game while the second game teams will control the first game match. Games will be based on the best-of-three sets including the playoffs and finals with all sets played to 25 points.
