Down by a big margin at the end of the first half in which the scoreboard posted, 26 – 40, against a highly top contender from the Meyuns Elementary School Basketball – Dolphins, the Kings totally changed at the third quarter. Kings’ Marivic and RB who had a total score of 21 and 30, respectively, started to heat up on the third when they worked hand in hand in creating series of run that gave them a one point lead at the end, 54 – 53.
As the final canto began, both teams neither could escape the hard court action nor steal the game away. Then on the five minutes of the final period, the two stellar players of SDA connected once more with the rest of their team mates to finally hold on a four point lead, 74 – 70, at the buzzer to be hailed as this year’s ISL Champions.
