Monsters defeat Moonlights, 91-76

The Monsters were led Sonny Ebuen and George De Guzman, whom the Moonlights had difficulty chasing for the ball. Ebuen complemented his agile lay-ups with excellent passes, giving his team the edge to boost for first place. De Guzman and Jun Tabora played their roles in driving the ball for additional two-pointers. Both Ebuen and De Guzman scored a total of 26 points each, followed by Tabora, who scored 22.

The Moonlights had difficulty catching up to the Monsters since the beginning of the third quarter. The Monsters already secured their lead by 49-31, dominating the Moonlights for the rest of the game.

The Moonlights attempted to close the gap by mid-fourth quarter, but were overpowered once again by the Monsters.

Monster’s De Guzman and Art Trajano maintained their team’s pace near the end of the game, catching a few more turnovers. The Monsters had no trouble passing through the Moonlight’s defense, sneaking a few more last-second lay ups.

While the Monsters focused on De Guzman and Ebuen, Danny Illahi played as key player for the Moonlights, racking 20 points from the game.
