Tony Diaz bagged 11 points for the 35 Motors whilst teammate Bruce Berlin chipped in his four pence to ignite the winning momentum for their team while opponent Below the Rim’s Ray Lizama shot 6 points alone.
By the end of the quarter the 35 Motors were leading the game by 9 points, 20-11.
Both teams entered the second quarter of the game with strong convictions and courage. Diegro Masga of team Below the Rim connected 6 points in the first two minutes of the second quarter followed by Yasuhito Irinaka’s two jump shots and Ray Lizama’s lay ups to contribute 4 points per player respectively.
Unfortunately, the 35 Motors had an answer to this calling as team player Melvin Villarin, Danny Vizira, and George Masga collared 4 points a piece to keep a secure 6 point lead over team Below the Rim by half time, 40-34.
In the second half of the game the 35 Motors aggressively pushed their dominance forward as George Masga bagged another 6 points while teammates Melvin Villarin, Tony Diaz, Danny Vizira, and center man Bruce Berlin all deposited 4 points a piece towards their team’s side of the score board, 63-51.
Fatigue got the better part of team Below the Rim in the last quarter of the game. Center man Bruce Berlin was able to bag 10 points while teammates Tony Diaz collared 9 points, Felix Palacios, Ed Cosino and, Jhun Abedes each scored 6 points a player.
Team Below the Rim’s lone star player Ray Lizama was only able to score 10 points in the final minutes of the game. The 35 Motors secured their win by 29 points, 102-73.
