MP United Football Club Pink extended their win streak to six by crushing Latte Football Club, 5-0, in the Flores Pee-Luwal (intermediate) division of the Spring 2024 Dove Women’s League at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday.
MPU quickly established dominance during the first half of the match as they played the role of the aggressor on both ends of the field. After just 10 minutes of action, they penetrated enemy territory and executed the run with finesse, setting up Breanna Lee for the finish to take the driver’s seat, 1-0.
Latte managed to hold their ground for a brief moment before MPU Pink regained control of the pace. MPU Pink’s skilled attackers disoriented Latte’s defenders, allowing Michelle Masga to slip through and find the back of the net at the 30th minute mark to extend their lead, 2-0.
MPU’s reign continued throughout the second half. Moriah Sablan kept the fuel burning with a goal scored at the 42nd minute mark. Masga then contributed her second goal to seal the deal, 5-0.
Other games
Matansa Football Club is still hanging onto the overall third-place spot after outgunning MP United FC Blue, 3-0. Bunruang Brasuell led the Matansa onslaught with two goals while teammate Jenna Tenorio scored the other goal.
Paire Football Club also joined the celebration after notching their first win of the season by defeating Kanoa Football Club, 2-0, courtesy of Marigol Ladino and Camayah Sablan.
