There will be final meeting for the league officials tomorrow night at 8PM at Winchels to discuss any other problems arising.
The much awaited kick off will be on Saturday August 28, 2010 at 4:30 PM at the Ada Gymnasium.
Officials have already decided on the league’s ground rules & each team’s line-up to all respective teams so if there will be any situation that leads to teams that protest on the said fielded players they can communicate to the organizers now before they kick-off on August 28, 2010.
Marianas Variety learned yesterday that so far there are ten teams that have already submitted their completed final line-ups and payments so these teams have already been reviewed and have been deemed eligible to play in the league. The teams are:
Team Ferrera Builders, IT&E, Pacific Grocers, Saimar Pilot, Mobil, Raffy’s Diner, Westerners, Atalig Associates, Wings Travel & Cellpro. Players who need to settle situations with the league officials are on a waiting list who are team Ol-Aces and team Buraot. All of the games will be played on single-round robin elimination and the top-seed will be via the semi-finals round. Also added to the ground rules are: there will be no “running time” anymore. The game will be based on regular playing time, and the tournament format will only have one bracket.
The QQ Car Rental owner James Hann is excited to watch the opening parade of all teams on August 28 at the ADA Gym at 5:30PM with a variety of VIP guests including our Mayor Donald Flores.
Part of the excitement & glamour of the opening shows will be a dance number by Project Impact, Song Number plus the awarding of Best Uniform & Best Muse who is expected to receive $100 Cash plus a Trophy.
On Sunday the league is scheduled to help out with the painting and renovation of the Garapan Court.
