(SSA) – Natibu, Par-D-Paks, and Salty Boyz all bagged a win last Thursday in the on-going Saipan Softball Association Men’s Slowpitch League with victories over Team Budweiser, Hunters, and Double “G”.
Loleng Falig belted two home runs and Brothers Ned and Bruce Norita and Joe Saures each slug one out to lead the Natibu over the Team Budweiser in the first game, 27-11. Natibu jumped on top 13-2 after two innings of play and never looked back the rest of the way for the win outscoring the Beermen 14-9 in the next three innings. Bruce drove in five runs and Gus Camacho scored four times for the victors.
In the second game of the evening, Party-D-Pak slaughtered the Hunters 25-8 led by Manny Sablan with two home runs and Fred Kaipat’s 4 for 4 with a home run and four runscored. Party-D-Pak took advantaged of the Hunters lack of players which suits up only nine in the first three innings erecting a commanding, 24-3, lead. Party-D-Pak exploded for ten runs in the bottom of the first, eleven in the second, and three in the third for twenty-one runs lead.
The third and final game of the evening was a wasted one for Team Double “G” as they suited only eight players for a, 7-0, forfeiture loss to Salty Boyz.
